Hellema Holland from Chile invests in Comax 1000 on truck for well drilling
Hellema's roots lie in Friesland, the Netherlands. But the company operates far from home: in Chile, where they are leaders in deepwater drilling.

The Comax 1000 B on a truck for well drilling
Hellema invested in a new powerhouse from Conrad: the Comax 1000 B, built on a MAN TGS 41.520 8x8 truck. The superstructure is hydraulic and is powered by the truck's PTO. With a pull-up of 35,000 daN and a pull-down of 15,000 daN, this machine delivers power under all conditions.
It is operated via the IQAN control system, which controls, monitors, and automates all functions of the drilling rig. All important functions can be controlled remotely via the radio remote control.
The Comax 1000 B on truck has a drill pipe manipulator for 6-meter double-walled air lift drill pipes. Operation is semi-automatic. The storage capacity is 7 layers of 12 pipes per layer, for a total of 504 meters of drill pipe.
